| A monolithic catalyst for low- and medium temperature decomposition of nitrous oxide and its production method. | ||
| Invention discription | ||
| The subject of the invention is a monolithic catalyst for low- and medium temperature nitrous oxide decomposition that can be used in dual- and high pressure nitric acid plants. The catalyst contains an active phase with a spinel structure consisting of cobalt oxide, zinc oxide, an intermediate phase composed of zinc and cerium oxide or their mixture and a monolithic support as essential components, as well as activity promoters in a form of alkali metals, especially sodium, potassium or cesium. The catalyst efficiently decomposes the nitrous oxide from the real gas stream, in the presence of oxygen, water steam and other nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2). | ||

| Invention discription | ||
| Przedmiotem wynalazku jest monolityczny katalizator do nisko- i średniotemperaturowego rozkładu podtlenku azotu mogący znaleźć zastosowanie w dwu- i wysokociśnieniowych instalacjach kwasu azotowego. Katalizator efektywnie rozkłada podtlenek azotu ze strumienia gazów rzeczywistych, w obecności m.in. tlenu, pary wodnej, innych tlenków azotu (NO, NO2). | ||
